Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Moisturizing Gel from Bio-essence

Hey all! Sorry I have not been very active these few days! Have been committing to my CCA and all so yeah! Well, apparently this hot season has rain coming and as I am typing this, I can feel a cool breeze. However the so-called season's change, moisturizing the face is still very important, even so for a humid country in the tropics. So now, I am going to share with you one of the products I am currently using - a particular moisturizer, from Bio-essence which is the Hydra Tri-action Aqua Moisturizing Gel (what a mouthful ><).
sorry for the blur picture :(
Physically:
I find it pretty cute cause it is small, so it is easy to carry it around. The colour, which is similar to the toner of the same series (which I have already reviewed) is classy in a chic teal colour. The gel itself is well, gel-like (self-explanatory). What I don't really like about this is that most space is actually just glass, plastic and metal. It does not actually contain much so after 3 weeks of using this day and night, it is 3/4 finished so I am quite perplexed actually. Oh, and it smells like cranberries.

Effect:
Moisturizes really well, leaving skin smooth and plump (in a good way). Okay on sensitive skin. I have extreme combination skin whereby even my cheeks are oily while only the sides of my skin are dry so I apply this especially in those dry areas.

Review:
I still like it, although it is very little in content and quite a bit of a pocket-pincher. Still, it does it's job in moisturizing the skin. However, it does not really minimise the pores on y face or maybe it is just my skin. It can be fond at major drugstores around us.

Natural Aqua Gel from Cure

Hello peeps! After exams, life is better but really slow... So anyways, I am going to review a new product called Natural Aqua Gel from Cure  which is a Japanese brand. It claims, it is a deep exfoliating gel which removes most of the dead skin cells.
Physically:
I like that the gel comes out through a pump, so it is less of a hassle to try to get the gel out. The gel... STINKS. Not that is does not work, but I mean it really kinda smells a lot. It is a mainly clear gel with a slight tint of some colour and is quite dense. Thus, although the instructions say pump 3 times, I find 2 enough for me.

Effect:
It really works! When the gel is applied and smoothened onto the hand, white precipitate will start to show which means - DEAD skin! I apparently have more than I thought :( so this product is very useful in exfoliating the skin! I have another post about Hada Labo's exfoliating face wash which does not exfoliate well, so this Natural Aqua Gel goes with it really well. I must warn you that although it feels good to have clean skin after using it, this should only be used twice a week and not anymore than that as too much exfoliating can increase the skin's risk of absorbing too much UVA/UVB rays.

Review:
I just love this exfoliator! It works very well and makes my skin very smooth to the touch. It is quite costly though at S$49.00 at Watsons so it really pinches the pocket. However, this product can last quite long in my opinion since it should be used only twice a week. Thus, it is quite a catch for a product.

Exfoliating Face Wash AHA + BHA from Hada Labo

Heyzzz! So long since I made a post cause it is post-exam time now! So anyway, I have decided to post about a product from Japanese brand Hada Labo which claims that it's variety of products are sold every 2 seconds! Well, the product it Exfoliating Face Wash AHA + BHA
So this is the product! I found this at Watsons and now that my skin is really dry and my Co-curricular activity (CCA) has begun, this face wash is useful in removing the dead and unwanted skin on a daily basis.

Physically:
The gel is white and quite thick as compared to other facial wash brands. It does not have any particular flowery scent or anything, just the common exfoliator scent. So it is good for sensitive skin. The packaging is normal and the directions are thorough.

Effect:
Unlike other exfoliators, this one is really mild and it can be used twice a day but no more. I find it really soothing and t does not have any scrub beads inside so it is a little intriguing that it can work as an exfoliator. However, it does not really exfoliate very well so another exfoliator should be used. The product does clean the face very thoroughly so it does have it's uses. It does not really refine pores very well but it does smoothen the skin.

Review:
All in all, this product is really useful especially as a gentle cleanser that removes unwanted skin cells but it's main purpose that is stated on the packaging is not very well done. I think another exfoliator should accompany this product. This can be found in common drugstores like Watsons and Guardian.

Whitening Lotion with whitening serum (fresh) by SENKA

Hello! So today, I will be haring with you on one of the newer Japanese brand products from SENKA and it is Whitening Lotion with whitening serum(fresh) (since my skin ain't dry because there is one of dry skin)! It is a colourless whitening lotion which is not gel but liquid with a mild, sweet scent.
Physically:
It has a LOT of Japanese words which I do not understand on it, but luckily, Watsons has those tags in English so I am not sure about it aesthetically. However, I love the lightness of the liquid that is not too thick but a lot like toner actually. It's scent is really mild but nice at the same time although chemically and not natural unlike The Face Shop products.

Effect:
Since it is really light and a lot like a toner, it does not feel heavy on the face like most whitening creams or gels. To apply it is similar to that of a regular toner. I like the clean and refreshing feeling it gives to a user. Unlike Hada Labo's new Nano-enhanced whitening milk which is quite dense and strong, this is mild and good for young skin.

Review:
Overall, this product gets a 'yes!' from me as it is really refreshing and after one try really brightens the dark spots from the pimple scars on my cheeks and evens out my skintone. Thank you SENKA! However, this product contains alcohol which I read that it does not encourage skin to repair itself although many other products also contain alcohol, this smells like it more. :(This product is easy to get at drugstores in Singapore like Watsons. It costs around S$16.90. Quite affordable for a whitening lotion unlike S$22.90 for Hada Labo's.

Happy essential foam Collagen from Etude House

Hey all! I know this is only a small blog but do spend time reading cause this is real stuff and all with real tests and experiments! Okay, enough of that... now,  will be reviewing another product from Etude House: Happy Essential Foam Collagen. Collagen is used to firm the face and to give one a younger, fresher look.
Physically:
I find the baby ink colour really cute and fresh(cause  like pink LOL). Anyways, It smells just like the other Etude House products of the same line of products. The substance is light pink with some scrub beads, which I find a really interesting feature of this line of etude House products so thumbs up!

Effect:
Apparently, it does not give me much rashes and it leaves the skin feeling soft and firm like Bio-essences Perfect-V line but this still allows skin to be bouncy. Being a compressed-molecular substance, a little is enough so it is quite worth it's S$7.90. I like this product anyways.

Review:
All in all, I do not recommend this for teens as it really firms the skin but I believe young skin should be less firm and more bouncy in a healthy way. However, I think adults can use this for a firmer, sharper look without totally removing the minerals and water from the skin. Like the other similar Etude products in the line, it also provides moisturiser so it is really good and yes, great for adult women in the dry season now. Since there are more Etude Houses that are being opened all over Singapore in upcoming malls and being scattered around, it is easy to get and also for a reasonable cost at S$7.90. :D

Real Nature Mask Cucumber by The Face Shop

Heyyy! Now, I have been posting about cleansers and a toner but what are they without the weekly/fortnightly masks? So now, I will be sharing with you my inputs on a reputable brand The Face Shop which is also endorsed by some Korean artists that have great influence over K-POPpers. It is Real Nature Mask Cucumber from The Face Shop.
So this is the mask, quite catching huh. There are many other products like this from The Face Shop that come with many different ingredients like Cranberries and Green Tea. I chose cucumber anyways as it is said to have a very cooling effect so here iis my opinion of it.

Physically:
White piece of wet cotton with holes for eyes, mouth and nose. Quite drippy and very cooling. It has a cucumber scent that is mild- approved for those who are sensitive to strong smells. However, I much prefer the Cranberry scent from Bio-essence's Hydra Tri-action products.

Effect:
As stated before, it is very cooling so plus points for that. However, upon removal, the skin will feel quite tightened but the tightness will cease after a few minutes. Really nice feeling, especially under the fan. It is also advisable to wash face with lukewarm water first to open up the pores before putting it on so it will be more effective.

Review:
All together, this products makes a person feel great and really fresh as it leaves cooled and supple skin due to it's moisturising effect. Really love it as well as the other masks in this series of products. It costs around S$6 for each mask but the end effect is really good so I give this a 50-50.

This product can be found at The Face Shop outlets.

Cleaning Strips Pore Pack from Bioré

Hello again :) This post is about Cleaning Strips Pore Pack by Bioré. It is supposed to remove blackheads and whiteheads. Although I have not personally tried it as well, my aunt tested it so this is a review on it.

Physically:
It looks like black masking tape with a style or cutting but still refreshing as these cleaning strips usually come in white. It is really sticky so it can stick blackheads better. Much stickier than other brands of this sort. Quite big so it covers more area which I approve of.

Effect:
It's super stickiness really does work in removing blackheads from your nose so it is quite worth it. Skin feels fresher and less clogged up, however, after removing the strip, the nose feels quite sticky due to excessive stickiness so it is a downer.

Review:
However, it does leave a fresh feel and the pores on nose seem to become smaller and more fine so it is less noticeable. I find this very important as if the pores still remain open, it can get clogged up again so this product has a very useful feature. I do like this product. Although, I have not tried it (I really don't have many blackheads), skin on the nose seems even smoother and the oily shine has also disappeared. This product is also affordable and easily found at drugstores in Singapore. I recommend Cleaning Strips Pore Pack from Bioré :)

Hydra Tri-action Aqua Refreshing Toner from Bio-essence

Hi people! Now, I am going to review Bio-essence's newest product for skin hydration - Hydra Tri-action Aqua Refreshing Toner. I know that using a set of products that are supposedly in a set together brings out the best of the product, but I am just going to review the toner. Here it is:
Physically:
Well, it definitely smells like Cranberry. It is a liquid form substance like many toners. At least there is proof that it may contain cranberry extract as stated on the packaging. The bottle looks really classy and all and the teal colour of the set including cleanser and moisturiser really appeals to me. ><

Effect:
I drop about 7 drops of the toner onto the cotton pad - 5 drops is too little(draw back). Then after smothering it onto face outwards, centre being the nose, until it dries. Well, the face will stiffen for a while. I do not really like this cause it is quite uncomfortable. However, after about 15 minutes, the face feels fine again although the skin is a bit tough. In another post, I have already talked about my skin reddening slightly after using my cleanser but this toner, Hydra Tri-action Aqua Refreshing Toner, really does it's job uniforming the pH(potential of Hydrogen) of my skin even after applying some pimple cream.  It also hydrates the skin really well and comes in especially useful in the dry season.

Review:
I love this toner, being my second toner after a really, really long while (counted in years cause I don't really have such discipline to constantly apply it). So yeah, it also contains two kinds of hyaluronic acid with very good hydrating effects which are handy for Singaporean girls and women. For a new product, it works well, although not really cost-worthy, and even makes skin supple. Its cost around S$20+ (I bought it on sale) and can be found in various drugstores like Guardian and Watsons. This is a thumbs-up from me :D!

PS: I have already reviewed the moisturizer in this series of Bio-essence products. Hope you read this :)

Happy essential foam Hyaluronic Acid from Etude House

Well, hello :) This will now be my second post! Yayyyy! This one will be about Happy essential foam Hyaluronic Acid from Etude House! I know, this is my second post from Etude House but right now, I have already jumped onto the bandwagon of K-POP so yeah, but do not worry, there will be other posts about different brands that have new products or are just plain new! So here it goes:
Sorry for the unclear picture though :(
Physically:
It smells just like the fresh foam. Nice and not overwhelming. The substance is light blue in colour and contains small scrub beads! One of the reasons I love this! Although I have already said that I am currently using Happy fresh foam Witch Hazel from Etude House, this is one that my cousin is currently using and she has the skin type as me and roughly my age (difference of 2 years) so yeah.

Effect:
Skin is cleaner, feels better and feels like tofu (literally, or is it her natural skin). It is really moisturising due to it's hyaluronic properties. It also has heavily compressed molecules so a little, pea-sized amount is enough.

Review:
In conclusion, although I have not personally really tried this, I do promote this, especially now, in the dry season, moisturizing is really important , more so for those with combination skin. My skin can become really dry until it becomes flaky on my cheek so this is really good. This cost S$7.90 so yeah, this is worth it :)

This product can be found in Etude outlets.

Happy fresh foam Witch Hazel from Etude House

Hello, so this is my first blog post on this subject of matter and the facial prduct that I will be sharing with you now is ...... 'Happy fresh foam Witch Hazel' from Etude House!
This is the current cleanser I have been using for a bout two weeks. I decided to try this out because I tried once using my aunt's Collagen once and I liked it. So yeah.

Physically:
I find it nice smelling. It does not have an overwhelming scent nor does it smell like chemicals so a 'yes' for smell. As for appearance, it is light grey in colour, much like the tube and it has a few scrub beads on it so you can get a light face peel when you use it.

Effect:
The first time I used it, I got a skin rash and my pimples became redder and larger (I do not have many pimples, but when I do, they are huge). So I used cold water to cool down my skin. Luckily, the swelling ceased but the pimples were still huge. At that time, I did not know that the cleanser's substance was heavily compressed so I used about 2-cm of it on my palm and boy, was it thick. I realised that a little bit was just enough, so now I use about 0.7 cm on the palm with a little warm water at a time, which is thrice a day (before school, after school, before i go to bed at around 11pm) .

Review:
At the end of the day, I do not really favour the redness it gives my pimples, after I use it. However, with the use of toner, the redness dies down and my skin is back to normal again. I would recommend this to both Singaporean girls and women as it really does cater to our skin since it also kind of moisturises the skin. It also makes the skin feel clean and light probably cause of the light skin peel. I think, with the amount I use each time, it will last me around three to four months, give and take. It cost S$7.90, quite affordable if you ask me. So it is a 'YES' from me! :)

This product can be bought at the many Etude Houses in Singapore and other countries for around S$7.90.
